About Me
Hi, I’m Kenia Peraza — wife, mother, and school mom before anything else.
I was born and raised in East Los Angeles, and I carry that upbringing with me every day. I’m a proud Mexican American, and the values I learned growing up — hard work, family, and showing up for your community — are the same ones that guide me now as a parent and as a public servant.
Since 2024, I’ve served as an elected Trustee on the San Ysidro School Board. It’s a role I don’t take lightly. As a school mom myself, I know what it means to want the best for your kids — safe classrooms, honest budgets, and a district that actually listens to the families it serves.
This blog is where I share my own thoughts as a wife, a mother, a concerned voter, and an elected official — not as a spokesperson for the San Ysidro School District or the School Board. The articles, opinions, comments, and endorsements you’ll find here are mine alone, offered in my personal and individual capacity.
Thank you for stopping by. I hope you’ll follow along.
